I can easily go without video games for weeks and weeks, and have numerous times before. There are times I just don’t want to play games. I’m going to be blunt; the mentality that video games are bad for you is an overly simplistic mentality.

I could write an article about the dangers of working out too much, of too much physical activity, which some people get addicted too. But articles have already been written on it, where a lost list is written out about the dangers exercise addicts face.

The point is, anything not done in moderation is terrible. Video games played in moderation, like many other recreational activities, do have health benefits such as improving memory, improving problem solving skills (there are some great puzzle games), just to name a few. It’s only when they aren’t played in moderation that problems arise.
